Hip Hop and Rap. Worst noise ever. Just a bunch of noise with swearing and a lot of the N word.
I was so happy when grunge took over in the early 90s, and blew hair metal out of the water!
I think that both are fine. But hair metal is probably worse because I feel the focus is too much on being edgy and loud and the songs are so cheesy.
I enjoyed both of those genres. The Rebecca Black style bubblegum pop genre should have died a death much sooner than it did though.
It's kinda hard for me to decide, I was raised on both. My dad collected cassette tapes from either of the genres, and I discovered interesting songs from both... In general I'm not biased against any.
Neither bothers me too much. 2000's butt rock (Nickelback, Creed, Three Doors Down, etc.), on the other hand, is much worse if you ask me. Also, Five Finger Death Punch (or at least what little I heard of it before I turned the shit off) is basically a slightly edgier reinvented version of that and what I like to call butt metal, and also sucks.
As for the worst? It's between butt rock, mumble rap, and country hip hop for me.
I dislike metal and rock in general, so any subgenres automatically get my vote.
I have no problem with either of these... Glam metal is kinda cool... cheesy, but cool.
I also like some disco. Perfect music to blare out of a restored car from the 1980s on a warm summer day.
The worst music trend has got to be mumble rap, or just generic modern pop music.
Most music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s was more than ok. Some music from the 2000s was ok, but 2010 and up... it's all garbage.
On very rare occasions, you get a good song, but in general - it's all talentless and lame garbage.
Hair metal, if you're talking about like Kiss look a likes? Just because they're loud only for the sake of being loud
