Star Trek. It has existed in various forms for many decades.
None of the series on your list can even come close to the longevity of the Star Trek franchise.
Well, pretty sure people still will be talking about how great Breaking Bad is 50 years from now.
I believe that is unlikely.
More likely is that there will be a new Star Trek series available.
I mean, 9.5 on IMDB. As close to perfection there is. Star trek? Only 8.4. The appeal will be timeless.
Don't confuse short term popularity with long term longevity. Some of the most popular TV shows of my youth are no where to be found today (not even in reruns).
Breaking Bad had a nice 6 year run. I've not heard a hint of anyone thinking of a follow-up series based on the concept with different actors.
Star Trek presented an extremely popular concept that keeps being reused and expanded into different areas - which is why there have been so many spin off series, which keeps reoccurring.
Star Trek has boldly gone where no TV series before it has every been.
Better call saul is a prequel to it, and it ran from 2015 to 2022. And they also made a movie in 2019. I am not talking about the amount of viewers it got, Game of Thrones and Stranger Things had more viewers. Im talking about how highly-rated that show is by critics and by viewers. Hell, 9.5 on IMDB after 1.8 million ratings. 96% On rotten tomatoes with 97% audience score. That is one hell of an accomplishment. Nothing from your era comes close to those ratings. The closest would be The Twilight Zone, which has 9.1. There is just no way something like that will disappear from popular consciousness. That shitty-ass sitcom Friends, which does not deserve all this popularity in my opinion, is still talked about constantly to this day.
I've never seen any of those.
I would say The Golden Girls was the best of all time, though!
This post is hate speech. Like, wtf? How fucking DARE you ask which tv show is better when breaking bad is very clearly the answer. Smdh. Disgusting.
Breaking Bad us better than the other two, but The Sopranos basically paved the way for Breaking Bad to even exist.
This post really shows how the majority of this site's userbase just seeks ways to make themselve seem unique and special. Guy asks which show was better and nearly everyone mentions different shows. That's not even the question lol.
