Quite hard to fit myself into the American politic speculum.

I voted for the National party (New Zealand) which would be considered centre right (like your republican party) but the party personal values is consider liberal in the sense of issues like legalised prostitution, same sex marriages and the strict separation of personal beliefs (religion) and state.

If I'd be American, I'd vote for Democrats.
But still I feel lucky not to be American, because their whole political system is pretty stupid.

what dinz said sounds a lot like me. i consider myself to be somewhat conservative, but only cause i see eye to eye with them on more things than with liberals.

that said, i agree with the libs on some things, mostly regarding personal rights, like legal pot/prostitutes, and same-sex marriage.

well, if i move to new Zealand for any reason, i know which party gets my vote!

In USA i feel its better 4 me 2 b Independent. Dems/Reps both say they're 4 Americas betterment but they r 2 different sides of the same coin. I can see some valid points in both sides different arguments sometimes but after the Pres. Regan 1980's the Reps only wanted the wealthy & corporate entities to advance while the middle class & poor struggled. They came to be seen as a group of elitest, snobbish mostly white party. The Dems saw things a little diff.,& had liberal leanings which lookedcout 4 the poor & mid class but taxed & spent a little too much. So independant i am.
