Which side do you take?

A programmer(programmers) works at a software company. His computer monitor is NOT big enough for him to work on MULTIPLE computer windows at the same time, decreasing his working efficiency.

Using the small monitor he needs 1 hour to finish 1 app, with the large one/an extra monitor he could finish 1 app in 50 minutes.

The company is now deciding whether or not to invest in upgrading to larger monitors/buying extra monitors for the team

Group A rejects upgrading for reasons:

1) As long as the job is done it’s all good.
2) It’s a waste of money to upgrade / it just makes things 10 minutes faster
3) The money can be saved for other purposes

Group B agrees to upgrade for reasons:
1) 10 minutes saved making each app adds up to a lot of hours per month
2) The time saved could equate to more income for the company which could cover the cost of upgrading the equipment itself

Which side would you take?

    It would be cheaper and more effective to just pick up old 2000's monitors for a multi monitor setup.

    Why not upgrade and keep the old ones hooked up too. I'd upgrade because it's not just about one piece of work, it's about many pieces

    its like microscopes , we were getting bids on two brands these wide view or narrow field of view . the wide field was twice as expensive . i sealed the deal buy telling the hospital administrator i would sleep with her if she bought the expensive wide field of view scopes. i would be using the scopes and i wanted the best.
