hated school very very much. I cried on my first day (I missed my mom) and by the time I was a senior in high school I was absent most of the time because I still hated it. Graduating was the best day of my life.

In England, GCSE's are just awful. Middle & primary school were cool and A levels were good too. But I knew my GSCE's were gonna be shit and they were :/

Oh and uni rocked the best :)

  • This is confusing... in the UK we don't call it these things... I have no idea which is which. Thanks a lot :(

for MORE clarification, ELEMENTARY school spans from ages 5-11 (generally), MIDDLE school spans from 11-14 years old, and HIGH school spans from 14-18 years old xD

I know! It's only primary and secondary school, and 6th form. If you want. I'll make a poll for U.K. standards.

    • elementary is from grade 1-6, middle school is from 7-9 ( most places are actually 7-8) and high school is grade 10-12 (or 9-12). I don't know how they do it in UK other then that they call grade year. Sorry.

In U.K. There is nursery. (Which is Kindergarten) there is reception. When you just start school. Then there is primary school. ( year 1-6) then you go to secondary ( years 7-11) and then (optional) sixth form, where you get an A level test. That's years 12-13. Done.

SIXTH FORM (age 16-18). It was a 'small', mainstream college of 1200 people... a bit of a shock to the system, considering that I'd previously been in a single-sex boarding school for girls with special needs with a grand total of 56.

Add to that the mass segregation [East Asian/wiggers/ghetto kids/Desi chavs/goths/emos/general outcasts/whatever else], the amount of ghetto kids that would play that horrid chipmunk song that went 'Oh Yes' over and over again at the back of the bus, the homophobia me and my then-girlfriend got, getting the piss taken out of me.

Yes, high school had a fair bit of catty, immature behaviour and I received a lot of piss-taking due to being short and chubby and painfully shy... but I do have SOME fairly good memories.

University, however, I found infinitely better than either (if you ignore my time as an exchange student in France).

Well I've gone to 7 different schools and while I'm not a big fan of school in general, I have had some great learning experiences. Ive met and been friends with people from all over the US, all different races, religions, etc. Its been great! but I'm still in highschool so my experiences with school arent even over yet.

Elementary was my favorite academically. I was pretty smart and the teachers liked me. But the other kids bullied me soo much. I'd say that was the best of times and the worst of times.

I lovedddd grade 7 and 8. But when I entered high school in grade 9 I don't know why but I became really shy and quiet. I still am and it really sucks. Before high school I was loud and outgoing. I still am but not as much as I used to be. Academically wise I got honour roll for three years in a row. Grade 6-8. And then high school came and my grades were kinda crappy. Not like failing or anything but not as good as before.

I never really liked school at all, but I think my best years were 7th grade and 8th grade(middle school), and then probably part of 9th grade in high school and the beginning of my senior year. My junior year I was kicking ass academically, but thats because I hardly socialized that year. Sophmore year was weird, and a lot of crap happened then, so I hate to remember it.

But if I had a choice to go back, I honestly wouldn't want to. I especially wouldn't wanna go back to my high school. It was a pretty crappy school. I remember I was pretty popular at one point, but then I started to get a taste of fakeness from most of the people I talked to. You tell one secret, and a day later it was spread around the school. It was small too, so everyone knew everyone else's business, and I hated that! Plus, it was a public school, and before I went there, I went to a school where we wore uniforms everyday. I didn't like many of the people, and I went through a phase where I seriously spoke to no one. I was an outsider.

Oh yeah, and in elementary school, 2nd grade was pretty bad. That was the year I was excluded on the playground. I didn't make the cut for their little club. Haha! It's amazing how I actually remember all this as if it were yesterday. I guess, whatever hurts you the most stays with you forever. I hated school.

Well my least favorite would be grades 3-5. I guess are at the beginning because this is when the schools decide to medicate the crap out of me for behavioral problems. I guess it was a kickback for a dope dealer. Also, I got along with NO ONE at all.

Freshmen year of the high school was the worst. I was extremely depressed and almost committed suicide. Then I made friends sophomore year and moved on.

I hated middle school. Thats when I got into my first fight :(. All the girls there thought i was a lesbian and teased me not only because I was a bit of a tomboy but because the only person that would actually befriend me was a lesbian *sigh* High School is much better!

The only year I didn't like was freshman year in high school. I mean I DID learn a lot about myself and my so called "friends" but it still sucked. The rest of high school was awesome.

I really didn't like my first year of either infant school (year 1) or comprehensive school (year 9). Best were my A level years (years 14 and 15).

I dropped out sophomore year. The stuff they were teaching me was -pointless-. I got a GED instead. I did not waste 3 more years of my life, but I did waste about 4-5 hours taking the GED test.
