Which would be worse to believe of race relations in the us?

I'm thinking specifically of black-white relations but this can apply to any racial relations

It's worse to believe we've made LESS progress than we have 5
It's worse to believe we've made MORE progress than we really have 8

Interesting question. If we believe we made more progress, we might put less effort towards improving relations because we think they're already good. If we believe we made less progress, we might start tossing undue blame around and turning it into a political issue for no reason.

I think it would be overall worse if we believe we made more progress than we really have. Some people seem to think relations have always been great and all experiences are equal, and inaccurate beliefs only make that worse. I'd rather we keep thinking about it and pushing for it, even if it pisses people off, rather than ignore it because we think everything's okay.

Anonet, one could counter argue that things have become much worse in the past half decade. Morgan Freeman said the best way to stop racisim is to stop talking about it. Identity politics and over obsessions with skin color identity certainly hasn't fixed anything, in fact I would argue race relations are far worse than they were 5, 10, or 15 years ago.

      • But too many anemic white saviors say "SiLeNcE iS vIoLeNce!" and, because the overwhelming majority of people are borderline retarded, they've successfully established the fucktarded narrative that not obsessing over someone's race is an act of racism in itself

Between which races? I think currently in modern "Western" countries, White people are great toward Latin, Asian, and, Black. I think Latin are better to White, Asian, and Black. I think Asian are good to White, Latin, and Black. Black Americans don't like, Whites, Asians, and Latins, more of the time, people have become better and kind to other races.

Take your pick. I'm not prepared to have an argument about where relations currently are.

Oh the japanese are full blown racists. You can take a trip to japan and sometimes it can feel like you are back in the south in the early 1900s. I would say seperate but equal... but that would imply there was a space for them and there wasnt.

Yeah, I have travelled. It seems only Western Europe, Australia and North America are the only places where people genuinely care about people that don't look or think like themselves.

That's the oddest thing. Because white people were more or less accepted, we were in a port town. Navy stations were there so if you saw an american it was extremely likely it was a sailor or marine. They didnt seem to realize/didn't care that we didnt take kindly to their exclusion so we boycotted any shop or restaurant that refused our African american compatriots.

The races are equal in developed countries, everyone saying otherwise just wants hand outs and “positive discrimination”

That's why they changed the rhetoric. Now, equality is considered racist and equity is the new, hot buzzword. Why the fuck do we let them have free reign over redefining words to further their agenda?

It would be funny if there weren't so many people who actually think that way

Like it or not we are progressing extremely fast in race relations.

But god forbid you want to pass any election ID laws because democrats think its racist against african americans, ironically stating more racist stereotypes as reasonings.

I think we can slow down on the progression here. Slow change is good change. The 60s were for the african americans. The 2010s were for the gays. Trans issues should really be further down the line than 10 years in the future.

Remember that obama was anti gay marriage when he first ran. Pushing the fact that your 3 year old could be a different gender is too stupid and too forward of this creepy agenda.

Dont forget children. Because a 16 year old obviously has the faculties to decide what's a good political solution.

Nope, 16 year olds shouldn't be voting.
