Out of those, I think I like the way the Yamaha looks the best. My buddy has honda 250. That thing is awesome, but they're not very powerful. They are great starter bikes. Depending on how heavy you are, you will most likely want to upgrade after you learn how to ride good.
I started off on minibikes and dirtbikes. I drive a Harley when it's running though....
In my opinion the Kymco Venox 250 is the one I would choose. It has great reviews. Everyone that ever owned one loved it. 27 hp. V-Twin that sounds great. 2 year warranty. Lots of dealers across U.S and Canada.
The Yamaha is 20 year old technology and a 21 hp. engine. It is underpowered. You will outgrow it in month.
The Honda CBR250R is a utility bike with a 26 hp. single cylinder, water cooled engine. It was developed as a commuter for the Indian and Thai market. Just not my cup of tea.
I have owned and driven a lot of different bikes. I own 7 at the moment. My favorite for scooting around is my Honda Rebel 250. It's not a highway bike but for short trips it's a hoot but if I was buying another little bike, it would be the Venox 250.
I'm glad at least 1 person voted for the Venox, I love the unique styling.
Shame the Honda got so many votes, cruisers are more suitable for learners as they have a lower centre of gravity , less chance of them falling over.
I owned a motorcycle for years. Almost got killed countless times. Glad I finally sold it. Riding it got progressively creepier with each passing day.
Here's a better pic of the Kymco.
