Affirmative Action in layman's terms means racial discrimination against whites.
Whites have no privilege but what they do have is a REPUTATION and that in itself is a very employable quality.

I live in South Africa and quite the opposite of what you state is true here, if you are white (like me) you have NO privileges over any other race grouping, if you are black however you are in the pound seats! Black students even get to obtain tertiary education funded by the Government from money earned on taxes paid by white and black people. White children however have to pay for their own tuition!
The same rules apply in Zimbabwe, I know not where you are living but I think like most black people you are carrying a huge chip on your shoulder! You are a fully fledged racist. Stop complaining about the colour you were born and do something about your education to improve your life.

White privilege is not real. If anything minorites have the privilege in todays society because everything no adays has a quota for how diverse it must be. Good to hear that people may not get a job or get into college because they were white and some minorities with way less qualifications got in just to fill a quota.
Maybe white people do have some privilege in social interactions, but that doesn't change the fact that most of us are not racist. So fuck you.

i think there should be more attention brought to it, but the idea of it being talked about in educational settings such as schools is unlikely. I have noticed white privilege more as more attention is brought to it in the media. I see more attention brought to it by history teachers that arent white. im white and all my teachers for history have been white and they avoid the topic of racism in todays society like the black plague but this year i have a hispanic history teacher and she talks about it alot more. i used to not believe in it until more attention was brought to it and i educated myself on it with an open mindset. yes bringing attention to it will help but people also need to be willing to see both sides and be understanding and open
Racism is an explicit belief about the superiority or inferiority of races over or under others.
Not knowing about white privilege makes no difference whether or not whether you are racist. One does not cause the other.
