That's actually something to think about. Terrorists generally kill a lot more people, but with explosions and guns. Serial killers tend to torture and draw out the pain of individuals for as long as they can

Terrorists are at least fighting for their truths. A serial killer cannot (generally) say the same. Thus, terrorists are slightly better.

If you listen to the reasons serial killers provide, it is often "I just felt like it." What I'm saying is, at least terrorists usually say something like "For the glory of Allah," which is much more important (that may be the wrong word; I can't think of a better one) than "just feeling like it."
