I can't stand the Progressive Insurance commercials with that skank with the big lips and the 1960's hairdo, and the Geico commercials with that sickening limie lizard. They make me want to throw a brick through my television.
I don't especially like adverts but I take quite an interest in them, especially the psychology. I like to work out what they're trying to do, as opposed to what they're trying to make me think.
Me too! I love to watch infomercials too, they're so jam packed with tricks.
Despite me wording it horribly, you knew what I meant. We've talked about this before and I remember thinking I'd love to sit down with you and watch 30 minutes of both American and English adverts and pick them apart.
I've seen some remarkably sneaky tricks and, when I realised it, wondered how the sneaky bastards are allowed to get away with it.
I remember my ex boyfriend thought that Progressive chick, "Flo" was awesome and hilarious. It's probably why he's my ex boyfriend.
Imagine if you just bent to the wills of the ads and changed your insurance every time you saw one?
I just dislike how Geico never actually tells me what they will do for me. I don't mind flo too much, but I feel like she outran her role.
I mute all commercials. The fact that they intentionally make them louder than the shows themselves enrages me.
Gah, my Mom has Geico. She was T-boned by a garbage truck in her little Honda Accord and had full coverage and it took Geico 3 YEARS to come out and evaluate her car just to get the passenger door replaced. 3 fucking years. My husband has State Farm and pays half of what she does a month and we lives in a worse area than she does. Savings my white ass.
Geico sucks ass. Wasn't even supposed to insure non-goverment vehicles anyway.
Yeah, normal. The commercials are dumb as fuck. They even bombard their own employees with advertisements. Go into a Geico office building. Even the part where non-employees aren't supposed to go. It's sickening.
I like the commercials with J.K. Simmons. I'm not sure which auto insurance it is for, but that guy is awesome.
I do. I wouldn't mind but you pay out all kind for insurance and heaven forbid should anything go wrong they think of every reason in the book not to pay you out. AAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH. Glad I got that off my chest. xx

I know right. I hate listening to boring commersials. p.s. I do not know how to spell that. But anyway, geigo basicly just puts a lizard on the screen and calls it a commersials. And progressive talks about hippies how like that 80s makeup chick. They have got to fix that chiz. I mean,even my gramma could see what is wrong with those freaky videos that They put on t.v. and annoy people who just want to WATCH t.v. without being disrupted.
I was just recently thinking my dad pays $50.00 just to watch tv but mostly whats always on is commercials, and payed programing at night time so why even pay for something when all they are gonna show are these i have the nerve to call the cable place and have a word with them about this maybe it will end all commercials for everyone.
I just think...they all want to talk about savings, but how much more could they save their customers if they stopped spending so much on their advertising??
They all say the same thing too...switch and save $400...it's just creative statistics.
