Who is the oldest living person you know?

Just curious, how old is the oldest person that you know currently and how are they doing mentally and physically?

I work for a woman who is 94 and she really impresses me. She still cooks all her meals every day and cleans her house. Shes got it all together mentally too. She just recently started to use a walker due to poor posture which she wasn't too pleased about...

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

My tortle is about 103 I think. He's a beautiful person/animal. Adopted him in the Cameroons. That's where my uncles found him when he was starved for air. He got better though. All is well now.

MY BEAUTIFUL grandma passes at 99, but she lived it well. Got asked to leave a bar, because she was still dancing and the band wanted to go home. Just one her highlights. He daughter, my aunt went on driving and living to 101. The key is living an thriving.

The oldest person I know now is my Aunt Gloria who's probably 82, and lives in Colombia. The oldest person I ever knew was my paternal great-grandmother who lived to be 98 years old. I was in my teens when she died, I still love her with all my heart even now that I'm 45 years old.

He's now in a nursing home and they don't let him out much. I really don't think I'd want to live that long.

The older I get the more I realize how lucky my family was to find probably the best nursing home in the world. My grandmother was terrified to go, but she ended up loving it. She made tons of friends and the staff all loved her and took excellent care of her, but weren't always in her face, and they went on TONS of voluntary trips and excursions. My grandmother had severely limited mobility, but no problems mentally, so she would have gone insane anywhere else. I hope the man you know is coping. (:

My grandmother passed away 2 years ago at 98. She was a tough cookie. She spent the last two years of her life in assisted living because she had dementia and her walking wasn't so good. But she lived independently until about 96.

Still living would be my great aunt and uncle who are in their early 90's. I honestly don't know how old they are. But they are both independent if a little bit slower and more deaf than before.

The oldest person I used to know was my great grandpa who was eather 94-95 when he died. He had a stroke around the age if 85ish and recovered more then the doctors thought he would... only not being able to walk anymore. And that impressed me.

I also used to work in a retirement home I assume I met many very old people... oddly enough I never got their ages.

Now the oldest person I know would be my mimi (grandma) who is about 80 now. She is self sufficient and lives on her own.
