Most all gay folk I’ve known have higher than average confidence, they’re usually more successful because they’re willing to take more risks and don’t hold as much shame. Gotta play to win

Careers in the performing arts attract a lot of gay men hence they are more likely to put the work into improving their voices’ strength and range.

might be because their culture prizes that kind of artistic ability and willingness to express oneself. I think its mostly just a thing amongst men who are openly gay, though; the ability to be openly gay (in cultures where such a thing is legal) implies a higher than average level of confidence that plenty of more subtle gays might not possess. People think that gay men in general are good singers, when it's really just the openly gay ones that are visible, while the rest are just kind of tucked away in their shells or are just more subdued.

I think that the way some gays talk might have something to do with why they can sing well; it has been noted that homosexual men sometimes intentionally take on certain speech patterns (huskiness, lilting, lisping, etc) in order to make themselves more identifiable to others of their kind;i wouldn't be surprised if all that voice training some of them do happens to sharped their singing skills inadvertently.

Most gay men (& woman) are horrible to average at singing... A select few of them are Great at it.

If you look at all the professional singers... I don't believe that you will find any unusual sexual orientation ratio that is not represented in public.
