Why are mimosas and bloody mary's acceptable in the a.m

I don't understand why it's perfectly acceptable to drink a mimosa or bloody mary at breakfast of brunch but as soon as I order a jack and coke people look at me as if I did something horrible! It's all morning alcohol just the same... Is it normal I am outraged fir being shamed?

    You shouldn't feel ashamed. But it's probably because "you shouldn't drink soda in the morning" I love bloodys. Keep mix on hand. But the best morning drink is an Irish coffee.
