The only adults that are jealous of young people are the one that are childish and immature.
Imagine being an adult and working hard to obtain a quality of life that your child gets to live. What I mean is that when you're young all you want to do is be your own boss and live your own life. However, once you step into the real world, you find out how difficult it is to establish your own life. At that point you begin to miss what you had. Same thing applies to the adults who grew up with a poor quality of life. When you have children you have to watch them grew up with a life that you wish you had growing up. In conclusion, kids haven't dealt the hardships of life yet, and they live the lifestyle that their parents have earned, not them, thus adults get jealous of the freedom and easy lifestyle that the youth have.
Definitely a variety of reasons. But there's the other side of the coin - there's some crap things about being young that I'm glad I no longer have to deal with. Age has given me perspective, confidence, knowledge and independence.
I'm a young adult though so I can get away with a lot that kids can, but do a lot of stuff adults can too. Best of both worlds at the moment :)
Because most adults want to be young again and think being young is so easy.
No its none of your options... its BECAUSE YOUR YOUNG!!! Do us a favour will you all you young uns... make the most of it cos it won't last long!
The saying, "Youth is wasted on the young" comes to mind. I think in a higher stage of learning and experience in life, they wish it was at this time in their lives they looked and felt their best. Maybe those feelings make them think you are frivolous with your youth?
Maybe they see something of themselves in you they don't like?
Maybe they think you are immature?
Maybe they have kids and feel strict and parental towards your behaviors?
I mean "You" in a general way, not you specifically. I should say we, but I don't get those feelings from older people.
