Why do crazy funny ppl during youth / teens end up really depressed?

So I have seen ppl who where funny at some point in their early lives, youth or teen years, and then as adults become really depressed, and i fear its happening to me too,.... is it inevitable?

    I don't know, one day I just stopped being funny, and everyone was taking shit seriously.

    I was born funny (in a walmart parking lot) and i will die funny. Probably in a walmart parking lot fighting a pack of obese rednecks for the handicap parking spot.

    Because those funny people already overcompensated by changing their entire self so that they could be noticed and accepted and they felt that they achieved something or filled some void.
    Then something happens that makes them realise that they were just a puppet on the string of The Man.
    The Man brought them down.
