Why do i fear about every bug outside

When I was outside today I digged out a hole in my backyard and i put a stick in the ground when i was putting the dirt back i saw a worm crawling from the dirt and I ran inside the house and swore that I wouldn't go back out there, is this normal, note that I'm either outside or in my room.

    i used to be like that when i was a child i could not stand flying insects or cockroaches. even butterflies creped me out.

    Lack of knowledge can instill fear. Do some research on the bugs you see and you will find that most of them are not only harmless but beneficial. There are some that can hurt you if you mess with them so don't.
    Knowledge is the key.

    You know there are bugs INSIDE your room too, right? There are roaches and ants and every night you sleep with bed bugs. Spiders like it inside your house when it's cold outside too, and they BITE! Ouch.
