Why do i get hiccups after drinking soda?

I get hiccups after I drink soda through a straw....just ONE LOUD hiccup per sip. If i DRINK it through the glass...I do not hiccup....but sometimes I like it better through a straw and of course embarrass everyone around me!!! It doesn't bother ME!! but is that healthy???

    omg i love hiccups so much, when others get them it turns me on i love it!!!! its real!

    I don't think theres anything unhealthy about hiccups its just a spasm of the diaphragm.
