Why do I keep on seeing posts mentioning anime? Does anyone care?

Honestly, you can find just about any genre in anime. If you can get past looking at stylized japanese cartoons, there's sure to be some anyone could enjoy
To me watching anime is like watching any cartoon. It's fun, and it passes the time. I'm guessing that some of the people who say it's crap have run into some of the more weirder anime fans(the overly sensitive ones that dress like their favorite anime chracter 24/7 and quote random Japanese words). They don't make up the majority of anime fans.
I am an anime fan but I can't say that's why I'm here, I've also not personally seen any anime posts.
Everyone has their own reasons for watching anime, mine is a combo of liking the style and that certain stories and themes can only be told through anime.

LOL! Scooby doo is good but I also like Dexter Laboratory, Courage the cowardly dog,oggy and cockroaches ,dragon ball super-zamasu arc,dragon ball z-fusion saga.
My personal opinion is anime is shit. No one likes that fucking shit! Who does? Not me! I hate that shit! Shut that shit off! You know?
I like anime (ive never posted anthing about anime, btw) but I can’t stand weird and obsessed anime fans. Like the ones who run like Naruto or dress up like a Kakashi 24/7 or fangirl/boy about a “hot” anime character. Ugh.
I guess because it's popular. I've lurked this site for years and there's about as many anime fanatics on here as there are on Tumblr. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, I still like some of my old favorites. I have a friend who is in love with a few anime characters and writes a lot of fanfiction, and you know, any creativity is good. She says she's depressed sometimes because they're not real, and although I don't exactly get depressed for that reason, I don't really blame her because I have a few fictional loves myself. I have another friend who is in love with a character from a popular RPG and draws herself with him, sometimes sexually, and has spent possibly hundreds of dollars on stuff related to him, including wedding rings for her and him. I would hesitate to even call that "not normal", as long as she's happy. I sorta went off on one there, sorry bout that...ha.
Well I am not posting these anime & I am pretty sure its only one guy (may be shackleford) but still fuck y'all its far much better than cartoons
I am pretty sure you haven't even watched a single anime you are just judging it by your preconceptions. Which is also false but yeah you are right one man's treasure is another's trash
That's correct, I've said as much in reply to babyhazel's comment below. I had no preconceptions, watched a few moments of it and it wasn't for me.

Yes but you may hate a BLT but enjoy Tuna and Sweetcorn. Think of the categories as Sandwich and Anime. One sandwich (or one anime) might taste awful but another might be amazing.
But still you should just try one anime "naruto" coz its totally diff from others
i personally like naruto / inuyasha / vampire knight / teen titans / attack on titan/ farytail / bleach , juzz 2 name a few
i say this very lovingly, as one of those passionate love live/other idol anime fans: anime is trash
