Why do i keep seeing my dead cat in dreams?

I'm not just seeing her. I can hear ans even smell her. She had gotten really skinny before she passed and when I touch her in the dreams I can feel her ribs. Everything else in the dream is just like a dream, but she is the one thing that stands out. No matter what the dream is about, she is there somewhere. She sits there and watches everything go by. Its been two years since her sad death and I have moved on. I dont think about her often so she probably isn't there because I think about her. Is this normal to see her? Whats going on?

    My dog Muffy passed away from old age in 2005 and ever since then she visits me in my dreams to let me know she's still around but in spirit form. Two days after she died and was buried in the backyard she appeared in my dream where she was young and full of life again, but after that she is in my dreams as the age of when she died. She was a great dog and I'll always miss her.

    I miss my dog still, and it's even been a few years. It's normal.
