first thing they need to do is start school later so I can get a little more then five hours of sleep. They should also not have so many work sheets, they're killing the poor trees just to torture us with unpaid work.
No... Actually Its opposite to paid work... We have 2 pay to the school.
I remember 2 hate school while I was a kid. Now I realize that It was so Important to study hard. Now when I am 22 years old I Have so many practical situations that need these studies.
The schools are so boring because the study patterns do not include the practical applications.
So Its my opinion. Study hard and work smart.
I've been depressed because of school, and I wasn't bullied or anything terrible like that. I just dislike how schools are run and how the teachers treat us and expect us to be things that we aren't.
I hate the school work but I enjoy seeing my friends and breaks. I absolutely hate that we have to wake up so early but better get out early that get out later..
Stop teaching us pointless stuff and giving us too much homework for no reason.
sitting in a chair all day, having to raise your hand, getting yelled at by teachers, homework, waking up at 6 or 7 in the morning, no being able to eat, carrying all these heavy books, and uniforms (for some). find a solution to all THAT and maybe kids would start to like school a bit.
maybe waking up at a decent time unstead of 6:00 i nthe morning would make me undepressed!
I agree. I do hate school. I love learning though. It seems too boring and there is so much pressure
I only enjoyed school if I got a teacher who respected the class but still set limits, and who provided material that was challenging and actually taught me something useful. I hated elementary school English because I was reading independently at the age of 3 and spelling multi-syllabic words by 6, and the classroom material was always too easy for me. My teachers gave me more advanced work, but I still feel I didn't learn much. I hated that 95% of what I learned would never be used by me again. I've struggled in university and done badly because I never learned how to study, or write a paper, or write notes effectively. I had only two high school teachers who did university preparation in 12th grade, the rest just gave us lots of busywork.
That's just my opinion. :) Schools need to be better.
Everyone hates doing things they HAVE to do. If school was optional, who knows? Maybe kids would like it more. Not saying that school SHOULD be optional or anything.
I also agree that we aren't challenged enough. I find myself thinking "WTF? I learned this on the history channel when I was, like, ten. They're teaching it NOW?" It's also the pressure to do well and get good grades especially for kids who need scholorships to even hope of going to college.
But I'm one of those weird kids who can't wait for school to start. I want to learn and get moving and I feel summer is slowing me down. Sure, I learned lots of cool things this summer (like how to make amvs) but I like structured learning in a classroom. Plus i'm an only child with no kids on my street and live in the middle of no where and can't drive and have few free friends. So yeah, I'm pretty freakin bored xP
looks like we couldn't find much solutions but more cold hard truths, and complaints. but i expected this. i myself believe you learn much more outside of the classroom than in it. but then again my ways of thinking and ideas of ethics is different from others. i guess by definition i'm technically 'crazy'. but then again crazy people don't think they're crazy. anyway my point is school shouldn't be such the routine garbage it is now. hearing "stay in school" and "study hard" every day in your life makes you just want to do the opposite and try your best to not conform to society. here i go again with the ranting..
Firstly school is a must, when you make most people do something it becomes a chore and therefore something you hate. I have finished school and moving on to university, and what I have noticed is we have hardly learnt much about the real world in school. All they make us do is listen to teachers etc etc, but they hardly ever regulaly set up projects or scenarios which actually relate to later life. It feels like all those years of my life were wasted.
Im glad school is over! for me anyway
Because kids are underchallenged. The US keeps lowering their qualifications on school material. To many parents complain their kid can't keep up. This nation has dummied down our young people. I feel sorry for kids today. Kids aren't expected to do more. Just the bare essentials so they can shuffle them off to the next grade.
I will get off my soap box now
I actually like school. It's only because I had a few great teachers and some good friends.
They get too much homework from their teachers, waste too much time at school, they don't make many friends, wear the school uniform to school, some students get bullied at school and/or using the school toilets as some students think this is disgusting and gross to poop or pee in the school toilets. But I don't mind pooping in school, wearing the school uniform and getting homework from the teachers because wearing the school uniform and getting homework I think is a benefit for you, your teachers and/or the school.
To make school more enjoyable you stop doing it. Any other ways just make you feel stupid.
Teachers are getting lazy. They expect way too much from us. They expect us to be the perfect student. Teachers don't see us as individuals but as one group of lazy human beings with nothing but disrespect for life. Each teacher provides us with a mountain of homework thinking they're the only one one giving out homework. Then adding in the pressure put on students by parents, friends, the media, and others. It's just too much.
