Why do they say in mechanics and physics?

Here is my reasoning:Elasticity Theory Of Solids is a part of Continuum Mechanics and Continuum Mechanics is a part of Mechanics and Mechanics is a part of Physics so LOGICALLY Elasticity Theory Of Solids is a part of Physics!Am I wrong? If so,why?
Maybe I'm weird but I really hate when they say in mechanics and physics.
Every time i hear or read something that tends to say that elasticity theory is not physics i get mad and very angry.
Am i normal?

I agree with both what you have said and surprisingly suckonthis9. Technically, everything is physics that we can observe if you go far enough. I think it's just an arbitrary distinction that occurs so as to not make physics as a term useless as it would then refer to everything.

    Incorrect.

'Mechanics', is the branch of science concerned with the behavior of physical bodies when subjected to forces or displacements, and the subsequent effects of the bodies on their environment.

Technically, they are correct, since Mechanics is a behavioral science, although it is related to Physics. But, if you think about it, ALL branches of science are related to Physics. Mechanics. is a branch of science in its own right.
