Why do women stare at other women ?

I sometimes get paranoid when other women glance my ways, are they judging me, admiring me, crushing on me, hating me, jealous of me, worried I'm steal their guy?

I kept making eye contact tonight with this chick who came into my work. Half her face was covered and I could’ve sworn it was one of my good, but not in direct contact, friend. She got sat at a table by my section and I looked every time I walked past expecting her to notice me. She finally took off her mask and I’d never seen that chick before in my life.

Point being, it may not be for reasons you think.

Anyone and everyone looks at anyone and everyone for any and every reason. Or not.

It's best to not be too paranoid especially if your hanging around with friends or family. At the end of the day these people don't know who you are and you don't know who they are. Also think of it this way what if the women staring are paranoid of you?

If they're just glancing then it probably means absolutely nothing. You are a living thing moving around near them, so they glance at you, in the same way that they might glance at a stray cat or a bird flying past.

Because women are super caught up on looks and are always looking at each other as either inspiration or competition.

Yep. My job is currently full of those crazy women. They'll practically stare a hole into other women, looking at their physical appearance. Then they'll talk shit behind their backs later in the break room. Hearing their high pitched whiny voices talk shit is so annoying.

I was apparantly on the receiving end of this bullshit on my birthday. The Team leads went up to me and were like "Happy 32nd birthday, Jan!" All within earshot of some of the crazy women. A day later, a coworker goes up to me and tells me that they were talking shit about what I wore that day, how I had my hair, how I got hit on at work, my voice, and my high energy levels. Like, these chicks are in their late 20's and early 30's. They should know better. Lol

I only really stare at other women if I find them to be really beautiful, and a lot of women are! Or if I really admire their style, makeup, hair or all of it. I try not to stare obviously though, I know I hate when people stare at me so.

  • A trick I've learned which I'm still honing is reading their eyes mostly but their face as a whole as well with mirror neurons, like mimicking their facial expressions to see what kind of thinking or emotions would lead to that expression

It's not perfect and I don't actually use those assessments as factual evidence per se, but it gives me enough closure in the moment to respond with confidence

It sounds like the thing people start to experience as teens. If you feel you should, I would recommend a therapist.

Paranoia is dangerous if it influences your life too much. I personally should get a therapist, I just can afford one.

Greeted a New coworker the other day. Introduced myself and looked at her. She's pretty. But awfully UGLY on the inside considering she agreed with another coworker "I can tell." in front of my face, that I am "mean". I havent said anything to her besides a greeting.

I am also beautiful, so maybe it is jealousy on their end.
But certainly not on my end, as I expell energy to take care of myself and not hate on others.

For me, it's only when I think it might be someone I know.
