Yeah that annoys me too. It particularly annoys me when I see a YouTube video or online article titled "Why ____ is ____", eg. "Why Batman is a terrible superhero" or something like that. First of all, I never asked. So to start the title with "Why" is just arrogantly presumptuous. And second of all (like this post brings up), that's just your opinion and, I'm sorry, but who are you again? Like I must've missed the memo that said your opinion is now accepted globally as absolutely infallible.
Everyone's opinion is close to a fact to them. It's a bit weird to have to phrase every sentence you're not 100% sure on with "in my opinion".
If I'm arguing about something I'm sure about and know it's true, I will state my opinion as a fact... because it is a fact!
