Why do you get muted on is it normal chat?

You see, there's this feature on the chat where you can ignore and block someone from sending messages to you called "Mute". Well, if you get muted, and you think you know why, then please vote or comment below. I'd really like to know why people get muted these days. I know what it's like being muted, and it doesn't seem very pleasant. Sometimes, your curiosity just goes out of control and you wanna see what people are saying, but you can't because you're muted. So anyway, do you know why you're being muted?

Because the person is retarded 4
Because I annoy the s*** out of them 2
Because I'm retarded 3
How would I know? 1
I don't care about this at all 4
I never get muted 5

    I've been muted a couple times by people who really don't like my opinion. And only once or twice that I am aware of. I don't mute people often but when I do it's because they are flooding the room with nonsense and making it hard to read what's happening. Or just being annoying in general.

    I didn't know you could.. does it tell you if you get muted? i don't think i was, most of the people just don't talk to me.. lol

    I don't think I've been muted by anyone. Also, I haven't muted anyone yet.

      The member chat feature can be found on the right hand side of the page, under the section "More Stuff To Check Out." It used to be that you could only get in if you had been a member for a certain length of time, and if you had an acceptable karma level from commenting (your thumbs up to thumb down ratio) but I dunno if that's still the same.
