Why does everyone always want something that others don't want?

I.e curly haired people want straight hair, straight hair want curly. Fair skinned want tan skin, tan skin want more fair skin, small Boobed girl wants big boobs, big boobs girl wants small boobs, underweight girl wants to be thick, thick girl wants to be underweight, European man wants to live in America, american man wants to live in europe etc

    Because people are insecure and think if they “just change this one thing” they will suddenly achieve confidence and self-acceptance, which the vast majority of the time is not the case.
