Pls explain why my boyfriend likes to hold/grip my neck while we walk. He doesn't hurt me, and I don't mind it; but I find it a bit odd. Is this normal? Do you guys do this for a reason? He is an alpha male btw if dominance has to do with anything. Otherwise he is very sweet and good to me.
I have never heard of holding a neck while walking. It sounds very abnormal to me. Why don't you ask him?

Is that really the probable cause? I guess it probably is knowing that he's a dominant person. Sometimes he massages my neck while he holds it with one hand. He says he's "practicing"... But idk.
Thats not a good sign for your relationship. I've never heard of someone doing that.
Bit hard to tell from your post, but if he's like some guys that like to act super dominant, they're actually super insecure deep down and will therefore want to control every single aspect of the relationship.
The moment you step out of line, want your freedom, challenge his authority etc, that hand on your neck will progress to 2 hands choking the life out of you. Get out while you can.
He's really good to me, it's just something very new. I find it comforting when he does it, but I've just never seen it before. I'll definitely ask him more about it next time. But I do think he just likes showing that he's physically stronger than me despite me also being a strong woman.

I have family in Texas so don't get your panties all in a wad. Southern men, and more so in Texas, hold their girls neck when they are out and about. It is more comfortable to do that and it provides a quick means of protection should the need arise.
