Why don't cars lights work in movies

Like if I watch a movie, they brake, why don't lights work? Like, why do some movies have headlights work, but not brake lights? Anyone know? I Googled it only got trouble shooting for if "Your cars" doesn't. Nothing about why movies don't.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

it annoys me that when a car does a skiddy stunt in a movie theres always 6 identical skid marks on the road from previous takes

its somethin you always notice once you look for it

Ever notice how bright the dash lights are during night scenes? Or there's always some strange bright light coming from the front floor boards?

    Because it effects the shot.
    It can effect:
    exposure, white balance, mood etc

Thats just theorizing as ive never been on a set where thats been a thing.

If it has had zero effect then why are these damn headlights out brah. Because of your damned night fapping that’s why.

Or why we're able to clearly hear what's being whispered in movies.

  • But you lose the realistic factor

I believe you're misunderstanding. The general public does care if a movie is realistic or not. Nor do they think too much about a movie when watching it.

It's why many movies do terrible amongst critics but do amazing with audiences. The rule of cool is more important to most.

Theres a thing called suspension of disbelief, in this case it's not some mcguffin plot device. Its literally not wanting to have break lights to lessen the cool factor of the scene.

    Just enjoy the movie.
