I have. Only when the comments were completely irrelevant and obnoxious. Funny ones are fine, so are conversations that get off topic. You have to be one irritable bitch to delete a thread because said subjects drifted from your precious topic.
Done it a few times but not too much. I do it when people comment in an irrelevant manner that derails the whole context of the post.
I've never deleted comments, but I've had people delete my comments simply because I proved them wrong and they didn't like it.
I find it really pathetic and funny whenever anyone deletes their comments if you prove them wrong and shut them down, best thing I've done was taken screen shots of everything they said before they deleted it then post the picture of it and there's nothing they can do but feel stupider
That's a great come-back. People delete my posts because I respond honestly and critically, they either take it too personally, are easily insulted and sometimes even delete their own posts in argument with me because everyone will see how much like a crack-head they sound. I have never deleted someone else's post and I don't intend to.
I have honestly never deleted a comment, I don't think you should be able to.
I haven't. I'm happy for idiots to make a fool of themselves. It usually just proves my point.
Lol I have never delegated anyone's comment so far...I guess you wouldhave to be pretty outrageous for me to do so.
I delegate most commenting to my secretary.
She usually does a decent job, but occasionally risks my online reputation by posting like an absolute fuckwit. I often consider firing her, but we have a 'Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Secretary' kind of relationship so I just spank her and carry on as usual.
I usually don't, but I made an exception for one user. She was a 19 year old housewife that kept lashing out at me on my IIN posts and sometimes at the users commenting. It got annoying, so I deleted her comments each time she posted some angry nonsense.
I don't remember ever deleting any comments. However I post anonymously so I don't get as much flack as I do when I respond to a post.
I do get deleted frequently, but it seems to have much more to do with personal dislike than content, which I find really sad. Any intelligently written, thoughtful post should be respected, even if the content isn't what the OP wanted to read.
I did it once and it was because 2 people were arguing about something completely off topic and I was tired of getting notices on their argument which had gone on for days so i deleted the whole argument. I don't remember what it was about except for being really stupid and nothing to do with the topic.
Only thing I'd delete was a spammer. Thankfully I haven't seen any of them around.
