Why is it always the white folks speaking over indigenous people?

Why is it always the white folks trying to speak over indigenous matters? If there's something that doesn't need to be said by white people then why don't they learn to keep their mouths shut.

It's literally happening all over social media and them trying to have "hot takes" on what they think should be happening and not what needs to be done.

First of all they colonise indigenous land and culture and have the fucking audacity to treat us like shit. They have no respect. Fuck them all..

Fair enough if you feel that way, but 'they' didn't colonise anything. That was done by people hundreds of years ago.

Who colonized who? The tribes were already murdering eachother. The europeans just exposed the native Americans to the harsh reality of them being woefully unprepared for contact with a technologically advanced plague resistant mega tribe.

I dont even care about if someone is "native" I was born here too. Theres nothing right now "the white man" has done to keep natives down.

Honestly I think we should revoke the tribe blood payment system. Its racist and horribly outdated and counter productive to integration.

It exists on many topics, not just indigenous people and lands.

People often like to talk about what should be for things they they have no personal experience on.

In the last week or so there was a thread here on military fitness requirements. I doubt that any of the people presenting the strongest opinions ever served in the military.

Pick any subject - and this is quit common. People who have no experience and know the least... only feel important if they take positions based on very limited, if any, knowledge.

There seems to be a culture these days of people getting offended on the behalf of groups that don't represent them. I think it's mostly virtue signaling and people wanting to feel as if they have a cause, but it's also condescending, as if those people can't speak for themselves. It's one thing to speak with/alongside them, but speaking for them is insulting.
