Why muslims don't eat pork ?

I don't understand what the hell does RELIGION has to do with feeding, either its fish, mermaid, pork, oral sex or metal from the titanic.
I don't think our Gods ( if there is more than one) ever said such thing. It must of been some control freak talking shit somewhere / People get brain washed by traditions. … What you guys think ?

    It's in their religious text so that is what they do. Even in the bible it says that pork is an unclean animal and shouldn't be eaten, but most Christians don't follow the Old Testament.

    some asshole millennia ago got sick cause they didnt understand zoonotic diseases or safe food handlin practices or refrigeration so they made some decree and tradition bein what it is its still observed

      I think its more about controlling greed, pride ( nothing positive). Don't care what year it was, its the same thing to me. And people follow because they CAN'T say one word.

        I happen to know plenty of Jews who don't keep Kosher. It doesn't bother me either way, because pigs are very intelligent animals not unlike dogs, so I choose not to eat pork for the most part for that very reason.

    Don't eat stuff nailed it.
    Improper food prep.
    To avoid anyone else getting sick.
    Just say GOD says don't eat it.
    Trying to find logic in religion,
    Is illogical.
    It's all contradictory.
