The left had been beating and assaulting people with MAGA hats long before Trump told them to fight back. Look at Antifa and common "peaceful protests" (i.e. riots) by left wing millennials like those who practically burned down UC Berkely campus because a conservative was invited to speak there
It's up to personal opinion whether Trump was right in doing so, but all he essentially did was encourage tit for taf for leftist abuses that had gone deafeningly ignored by mainstream news outlets
Politically motivated violence is a staple of the American left, it only garnered disapproval when the right started reacting
It surprises me how much hate he gets because as far as im concerned Trump is a liberal. If these ppl watched a 2008 Obama debate or campaign speech they would be surprised that Obama was far further to the right than Trump.
And then you look who all the billionaires and corporations want to win. Almost every single one of the elites and billionaires are democrats and vote democrat. Even Elon Musk voted for Biden as much as he likes to larp like hes a conservative. If the Democrat agenda was to tax the rich and look out for the small guy why do all the corporations support them?
Theres only so much shit I can take from a potential candidate before I drop them as an option. Trump's problem is he creates too much heat. I dont care if he "beats" the system every time hes getting bad press while biden isnt.
It's unfair but theres certain point where you have to face the facts with that. If desantis beats trump then there you go. The always trumpers will fuck up the bigger picture.
DeSantis just made anti semitism a felony in florida. He's a traditional authoritarian republican. If he gets in we will be back at war in no time. He says Bush Sr was his inspiration to get into politics. Id maybe even prefer biden win than desantis.
Let's be honest we need a bit of war now and again. Just that we actually need to pick our wars and not be like a dog chasing any car. No more vague wars to acomplish vague tasks. Wars that we can factually win m
I genuinely dont think you realize how much your opinions on the world are controlled by those in power. I know this will make you defensive but I recommend you choose different media outlets to get your information. You dont seem to really know about anything that happens its like you watch fox news and parrot that. Again desantis made hate speech a felony and signed it into law in a photo-op in Israel. Look into anti-BDS laws. Learn something. Republicans are part of the problem. They're 5 years behind democrats on everything.
This is such a woman take though. "He says MEAN stuff..." Who gives a shit? You vote on policies not the person. Id never want to be around Trump hes insufferable but if he doesnt get us in any new wars, cleans up the border, crime, gets oil prices down and better trade deals he's the better pick. I dont understand when ppl vote based on drama. This isnt the bachelor.
It's really quite simple. Because in every time period there are people who benefit and people who suffer from the policies that are made.
But it seems like all anyone wants to do anymore is to stir up trouble. No one wants to see life from a dofferent perspective or walk a .ile in someone elses shoes. They just want to label them "other" and throw a giant bag of burning poo at them. I am so tired of this stupid divide. No one actually talks about the issues. They just throw shade. And if they do try to talk they pick the most controversial subject imaginable then wonder why they can't find a happy middle ground.
"Trust me I'm fully aware the left relies heavily on political violence at times. But the fact that the right responded in kind and it has become a never ending cycle makes me sad."
"What the fuck happened to talking it out :("
"It's the fact that Trump said let's do it back that bothers me greatly."
If you don't fight back they'll keep hitting you. Violence only understands violence & it only respects greater violence, once that line is crossed there's no turning back. You're not going to get someone to stop abusing you by being passive, that only leads to more abuse because if you won't defend yourself you're not peaceful you're helpless & that makes you an easy target.
"the thought of my country being so divided bothers the hell out of me."
"Becoming violent when words are an option is gross to me."
"Left and right is a constant struggle of balance in my eyes and they should never be solved with violence."
This will only end in civil war, I don't know when it will happen but I will bet my left testicle the snowball will get rolling next years election regardless of who/which side wins. On a positive note I don't believe it will be a bloody one, more of a 'let's sit & watch the blue states kill & starve themselves with their shitty polices & we wipe out the survivors/pick up the scraps' kind of war.

Yeah, I wish people would be more willing to accept that you can disagree with someone without mistreating them or hating them as an individual for their views
I was reading an article yesterday about Tucker Carlson's subpoenaed messages, revealing he always hated Trump and so did a few others there.
The reason I don't see the "greatness" of Trump is because I happened to have had my eyes open during his presidency. Right-wing news focuses purely on the few things he failed to fail at.
This dude and his big mouth. He was bad for national security, he mishandled Covid and acted like it wasn't a big deal even after it nearly killed him, he was so focused on tearing down whatever Obama did that he also removed pandemic preparation, his tariffs on China hurt us, his "mean tweets" undermined public faith in just about everything he did and tried to do, and that's just the stuff off the top of my head. I didn't even talk about the election. Do some research and you can easily find more. Apparently he vetoed a bill that would support the military. There was that bombing on Soleimani. He did crapall for the debt.
And I'm supposed to be on my knees sucking his dick why? Because of a bunch of "this wouldn't have happened under Trump" speculation? They said the exact same thing about Obama for every dumb thing that happened during Trump's presidency, now we're just doing it again under Biden's.
"Are ya sayin' Trump wouldn'ta done'a better job?!"
YES.
If 2024 ends up Trump vs Biden again, I'm declaring this country dead in every sense of the word.

A lot. Enough to justify republican leaning people to drop him as a potential candidate such as myself.
I agree that he should shut up about the whole "tHeY sToLe MuH eLeCTiOn!" schtick, but I do have a genuine question: why is it universally accepted that there was no election fraud in 2020 when the mere suggestion that Trump cheated in 2016 resulted in a term-long investigation with the outcome already determined in the minds of the investigators?
If we lived in a fair country, Biden's entire term so far would be defined by all news agencies pronouncing Biden a traitor to the nation on a daily basis in the total absence of any evidence.
Why the fuck was it okay to do that from 2016 to 2020 but the idea is considered outrageous now?
I literally want to stab something. I fucking hate double standards
I’m not OP and I’m not a trump fan. But he was a real person nonetheless.
Not to mention that presidents are nothing but a puppet in this country.
