Will books be obsolete?

I really can't stand ebooks/kindles, I'm trying to read Stephen king's latest novel and had a ten pound voucher so I thought I'd put my untested prejudice aside and actually give it a go, I can't finish it, when I read a book I like it to be exactly that, a book, an e-reader is technically more handy, I can carry hundreds of novels with me but I like to actually turn pages, feel it in my hands, smell that new book smell and put it on a shelf when I've finished, to me reading on a tablet feels wrong and strains my eyes but traditional books
Are a diminishing market so my questions are this, iin? Anyone else feel worried about the growth of e-books and do you think traditional books will become obsolete, well, most things become obsolete eventually, but in the near future

I really hope books don't die. They're one of life's true pleasures.

I kind of like real textbooks. I love highlighting. I write notes. I've used a textbook and an e-reader version simultaneously. The digital version lets you quick search + copy/paste. The real book just feels better to me. I still vote for real books. Without a real book, used book stores go bye bye. Noooo!!! I love to collect really old books. How will you ever be able to sell your e-book library? Or, trade an e-book? What if your batteries die? What if your drive fails? I hope you backed up your files.

The plus of e-books? Come on, 100+ portable books? Fantastic.

A ten pound voucher doesn't seem very practical. Cumbersome to carry around. They should just use a piece of paper to write on next time.
