Will cystic acne get me kicked from meps?

I have some cystic acne scars but they are no longer active just scaring I cant get rid of. What should I do about it? I am going to MEPs if I get a light enough prescription for my astigmatism. What should I do about this? Is there anything I can do to remove them before I go to MEPS? Will this get me kicked? I scored a 47 on the exam which for the Marines is really good since they only require 37 they said.

Hey man, I googled MEPS so you google MUAC. Ok fine I'll tell you. It's Makeup Artists Choice. A fabulous website with all sorts of stuff for your skin. Stuff to fade scars and all that. You can get very inexpensive samples of anything, it's awesome, and from what I've read, their customer service is fantastic if you need to talk to someone about what would be best for your specific skin issues.

I still have no idea why facial scarring would be a problem. I've seen plenty of people in the military with bad skin.

    • I never said it was facial scarring. I said I have scars. They are scars from previous infections I had and the scars never went away. Cystic acne is boils. They are big red and filled with blood. Cystic acne is also highly infectious. Even though they are healed I dont know if it would count as severe acne. Which meps says is a disqualification.

Oh, my bad. I assumed it was on your face. Silly me.

I know what they are, I had a friend who was covered in them all over her thighs and armpit area. Quite unfortunate and in her case, I don't think much could have been done about the scarring. But there is still hope, young one. Depending on how much time you have you may still be able to fade your marks significantly, and if you no longer get new active cysts then I don't think you have much to worry about. But what do I know, I'm just a bird.

I have no idea why scars would prevent anything but I suggest you check out MUAC.

Looks like "the squeaky voice teenager" doesn't get to go to war.

Why would acne scars stop you from serving your country? Are you're fellow soldiers going to not be able to preform because they'd be distracted by them or something?

    • No, military can remove you for health reasons.

But for acne? I can see if you had asthma or surgery or something, but I think you'll be alright ^-^

        • Its a health risk. Also Severe acne is something they can kick you for. Just I only have scars now but they are very noticeable even if they are not inflamed. There is a lot of stuff they can kick you for.
