I'm not sure he is not a psycopath, and some people think he has a terminal illness. Will he antempt to destroy the world, and will the rest of the world be able to stop him before he does?

I have no idea if Putin is clinically deranged or his mental functions are affected by some physical problem, but all the evidence is that he's in a little delusional bubble and he's surrounded himself with people who tell him what he wants to hear.
One thing to bear in mind is that Putin doesn't have a big red button on his (ridiculously long) desk that he just needs to press in order to unleash nuclear hell on the world. There are several levels of the command structure between him and the guys who _do_ have that button on the consoles in front of them. One can only hope that most of those guys are sane and they have the guts to refuse to comply with an order that's clearly bonkers.
