    They've been updating so fast, I'm broke from buying all these fancy new mod.es. I'll stick to my iPhone 4 for now

    No. And it has nothing to do with the brand and everything to do with the fact that I do not need a new phone. I don't trash something just because they made a better model. Our consumer society will be our downfall. We cannot live this way and should not encourage it.

    I'm a droid person, but in general Samsung, Apple, etc upgrade to quickly and I think it's ridiculous to buy a new phone every year... I'll get an upgrade when I need a new phone. I have a galaxy s4... the galaxy s5 came out in April 2014 and I heard the Galaxy s6 is coming out if February 2015... that's less than a year... no thanks. The Galaxy s4 is a good phone and works well.

    No. One time I had a dream that I broke my S4 and replaced it with an iPhone. I was pretty mad and disappointed. Then when my real life S4 got crushed, I went with the LG

    Not a chance. I have the iPhone 4S. I got it for free last time I renewed my contract. When my contract is up again, I'll just get a free iPhone 5S with renewal. I'm more about the FREE, not the "newer" models. Call me outdated, but I don't see much of a difference. I can think of better ways to spend a thousand bucks.

      It's not really "free" they just tack the price on to your monthly bill (and probably some extra too).

        No. It's definitely free. I keep track of my bills, believe me. I even refuse to pay the activation fee and phone insurance.

          I'm sorry, but if you think the phone is just free because you sign up for a contract, you're ignorant. They're not just going to GIVE you a several hundreds of dollars piece of electronic equipment. The price of the new phone is built into your bill. That's how they make their money.

            I've been with the same phone company for 6 years. I'll be paying 70 bucks a month whether I get an older model of iPhone, another smartphone, or stay with my current phone. What I'm saying is, I don't pay anything additional at the time of renewal because I opt for older models. It doesn't affect my bill. Is 70 bucks a month already a slap in the face? Obviously.

    Haha. Surprised at all those no's. People who blindly dismiss new phones are on par with the ones who blindly purchase new ones.

    I've had the same smartphone for 2-3 years and I'm incredibly happy with it. Before that I just had a phone for calling/texting. Now I literally use my phone for a hundred things. Automation, document scanning, sound editing, flashlight, sleep monitor, news articles, sport streams, music downloads, banking, movies, picture editing -- the list is endless

    And once in a blue moon an app will pop up that allows me to use it even more such as using GPS to track your running speed/distance etc. I see no reason to buy a new phone if all it has are 3 features that I know I'm not going to use or be affected by, or 5 improvements that are very negligible to me.

    No. I need a new phone, yes, but I am not willing to spend the money on an IPhone when I can just buy the same phone I have for way cheaper than when I first bought it, I love my phone as is. I'm just gonna use it until I get tired of the plastic shards getting in my fingers lol
