Woke up from a night terror (evil spirits)

Hey so literally half an hour ago, it is currently 3:18 AM and I had a night terror (nightmare) in this dream my room was full of evil spirits, and I got my youth pastor to come have a look, she had this special camera and she took pictures and in the pictures there was evil spirits everywhere. And they weren't just like blobs, they were really scary like one its mouth and eyes taped shut with blood, and it had no hair. That one was in my wardrobe cause in the dream I felt a real dark presence in there. I felt like I was being followed when I went outside my house. By an evil spirit. Also there was a lot in the kitchen as well, and in the car it possessed my mum her eye went white for a second. I am a Christian and I have never experienced this before, I only ever had nightmares when I was little. I woke up really hot and sweaty. I big lump in my throat. I cried my eyes out. I didn't know the time. But from the time gap so far feels like hours. I'm freaking out, I don't want to go back to sleep because I feel like it's going to happen again, and it could be even worse like sleep paralysis. I've prayed to God and have worship playing but I don't know what else more to do. Please help, is this like a warning or the devil trying to attack me in my sleep?

I have experienced similar things. I regularly have sleep paralysis and I have experienced what you describe. it felt like sleep paralysis but I was standing up and walking around. I find the best way to deal with it is to relax and have faith that God won't let anything happen to you. if you have sleep paralysis, don't try to move, just close your eyes and you will fall back asleep.

Night terrors are normally just a sign of stress. They happen, don't dwell on it, you'll be fine. If they keep reoccurring, make sure you go see someone (:

So it's not going to go away?! Is it a warning from God?

I can not say anything on behalf of God. But what i can say is that i know people who have had it up to 20 years or more. Some have had it 2-3 years and have not had it since then. So there is no knowing in how long it takes. I have taken many meds and non worked. My doctor said i just have to live with it.

God doesn't give a damn. You'll get used to it. Suck it up and be brave. You will still be yourself no matter what.

I am not making fun of you. I was a mental health Case Manager for many years. I am not saying you have schizophrenia, because I'm not clear if you saw things when you are awake, but you said you feel paranoid. I would recommend that you go to the Google play store and download Doctor on demand. The have a psychologist for therapy sessions, where you can be evaluated. There are medicines that can help with dreams and paranoia.

Schizophrenia is a chronic, severe, and disabling brain disorder that has affected people throughout history.

Don't listen to Amylpine247 or Beep_beep. They have no clue and appear to have no formal education on the manner.

    Good luck.

Well I'm sorry you feel like, "shut." I hope you were just being a non-educated asshole, but if you are truly depressed then I want you to know depression is a common mental illness and there are medications available and coping skills that you can use to help yourself.
A coping skill is a form of "personal medicine" that you can use to change your thinking such as getting involved in physical activities, reading, going for a walk, and etc.
I would recommend going to a licensed practical Social worker, Therapist, or a mental health nurse. I believe that Doctor's on demand can help you as well. It can be found on the Google Play Store. The average cost of therapy is 170 an hour, but I believe through Doctor on Demand it costs about 50.00.
Oh, your right, I'm not a doctor...at least not until next May, 2016. Right now, I have a Master's degree so I don't have a PHD, but I have an MS and an LPSW, after my name. I also have $100,000 in student loans for my effort and a 4.0 GPA.
