Would this make an effective pepper-spray?

I wanna make a homemade pepper-spray. Anyways, I got the idea to make it with this chilli-extract I found on the internet, that is 6.4 million scoville called " Toxic Waste ". It's about 3 times as spicy as the Carolina reaper, which is the spiciest pepper in the world. If I dump the whole bottle in a spray, mix it with some water, do you think it would make an effective spray? Maybe it would be too effective and blind the person exposed to it?

    Pepper Spray is a specific chemical extract from peppers (and perhaps no sythetically made). It's far more potent than actual juice from peppers.

    Just buy Pepper Spray. Then you know it works - and the can and delivery system has been tested and proven to work.

      Unless you are the 1 in 15 people who are immune to capsaicin. I am not unfortunately.

      Sure it hurts like hell (broken glass in eyes kind of hurt) but if you are determined enough you can work your way through it. Definitely a good protection against rape. Not so much for assault.

        In my case I'm allergic to the bell pepper family. Getting sprayed with concentrated capsaicin just might kill me.

      Pepper spray is not legal in my country though, so have to make my own.

    How about just fighting off your attacker? Don't wear high heels and keep your nails short

      Why would keeping your nails short increase your chances? If anything scratching is an effective mark on a person, as well as collecting dna from the attacker.

      My babe has an ice pick for just this kind of scenario.
