Adopting a dog is a huge mistake because you're taking on someone else's problems. Also, most people don't know what to look for when they're adopting a dog and they choose one that wags so hard that it wags its entire body and dances around begging for attention. Those are the worst dogs a person can adopt because they have serious separation issues. Those are the kinds of dogs that bark and howl and tear up things when you leave them and they have even been known to attack their owners to try to keep the owner from leaving them, or attack a child out of jealousy. If you're going to adopt a dog, adopt one young enough that it can be trained.
Not at the moment, my life is a bit too demanding for a new dog. But if a stray happens upon us...let it be during the summer.
Possibly but it would have to be good with other animals. I would want a German shepherd or a Shetland sheep dog.
Not now, I already have two pets and I'm good with that number. My dog was the first dog I ever got and I love him but he's a handful. I don't think I'll ever adopt another dog.
I'd love to have a dog in my life again, whether it be adopted or by any other means. But where I live and how I live means it wouldn't really be fair and, with any pet, selfishness is the last thing you should feel.
