Would you consider it normal to sympathise with the confederate states?

I am a proud Confederate sympathiser and I lament the loss of the Confederate States of America, would you consider this to be normal?

It's not stupid to enjoy living in the south, nor is it stupid to appreciate the history & heritage, but the confederacy?

They lost, for one & they don't exist anymore. As much as people like to associate the civil war with race (& they will, so you should be aware of that), it was about state rights w/ regards to vested economic interests tied to an agrarian, cash crop infrastructure- none of that exists anymore.

This is the equivalent of me senslessly throwing plates of steamed brocolli at the wall because I have a weird, pride filled fascination with etruscan banquets.

As I said, historical interest I get, but complete infatuation with a political stance that's completely fucking arbitrary to the modern world is tarded & weird.

& I say this as a person who very much appreciates the culture of the deep south in america

Let's just compromise & throw it in the deep fryer instead.

Slavery would of been ended eventually but the federal goverment needed to reign in any stray states for forgetting the point of a federation to have minor things handled by the local goverments while the larger things are for the central government.

Are you implying you would prefer 2 countries, instead of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA?
Slavery consisted of kidnapping, forced labor, forceable rape, beatings, torture, lynchings, and mass de-humanizing.

Slave owners, and 'southern' plantation owners treated their livestock better.

I find the "Confederate ideology" VERY arrogant, in the sense that they thought they were "entitled" to OWN other human beings.... WOW

Seriously, what do you "sympathize" with?

You are a little late to the party there, son. You're roughly one-hundred and sixty years late to the party. Getting injured on a field of battle during Civil War was no picnic for soldiers on either side.

Watch documentaries about the Civil War, the Old South, and the Antebellum period to get your fix instead of getting overly obsessed, Hansberger.

Also, you can go to the library, and checkout books on Southern Culture, and Southern food. I guess you can watch "Gone With the Wind", but something tells me you have already seen the movie more than once.

i likes how some people promote the concepta states rights up until a state passes an inconvenient law that dont fit theys self righteous standards and then suddenly they wanna send in the federal alphabet soup swat teams to stomp that shit down

Well...I can help with the lyrics if you want to compose the fully sick banjo music

          Burrowing in their wood shavings

          The human race
          They are enslaving

They crawl through the tubes of hell

Where Richard Gere keeps his smellllllls

Ooooo- I think from hell they came (sing it like the misfits song)
I think from hell they came

          Wiggly noses & small feet

          Eyes like soulless black beads

If your forget to give them food

On your pinky toes they'll feed!

Ooooohhh I think from hell they came!

I have family members who sympathize so I definitely think it’s normal. Do I think it’s unnecessary to dwell on what could have been so late after it happened and after the US reunited? Yes, I think it’s better to worry about how to make our country better than what could have been.

Of course, i mean it's not like the southern states were doing the exact same things the collonies did to justify war with the crown. Slavery was going out, Irish men were coming in. Mass murder and arson was fun for the sociopaths that were Lincoln and Sherman. Yeah we're pissed, our 23 and me burned for no reason.

    no its not normal.

but hey I'm in a good mood. so may I ask why you sympathize with them is it from a states rights argument? I'm aware that most confederate troops were just useful pawns to the leadership of the CSA so I could kinda see some sympathy on that front. I hope you don't sympathize with them because of the slavery issue because that was all the leadership cared about Davis was clear on that as well as all the other goons he had around him.

I'm not a fan of the csa but I kinda see were some people are coming from with it.

"well being of my race"...if it wasn't for all the other races yours would probably be extinct by now. I would like to see all those like yourself on a piece of land all by yourselves and watch you exterminate one another. They could televise it and Trump could make millions.

I'm ok with states rights(to an extent)I'm all for American liberty and I'm not against loving who you are.

but what dose race have to do with the csa? unless you believe that blacks should be slaves or you feel that whites are gods chosen race. I mean I wouldn't be surprised many neo confederates are racist twats who think they are the masters of the universe because white skin or something.

He only freed the slaves to recruit them into the norths army. He didn't want to free slaves either.
