Oh okay lol for me all the people I dated had the same genre taste in music as me so it was nice to share our favorites and listen to music together so this guy I'm into now is a first for me having polar opposite taste 😂
Naw, because I don't have the patience to waste my time listening to someone else's choice of music.
Totally!
I would swap my music with the girls music who knows maybe she would like the artists that I like.
Swapping music tastes is great because I can explore new things.
I'd still date them. Their music taste makes zero difference. What matters is that we have a good time together.
Most of my ex partners/flings’ musical taste vaguely overlapped with mine. I wouldn’t expect them to specifically like every band I do but if they couldn’t even tolerate rock/metal/pop punk I honestly don’t think it would work given that I play them constantly.
I love french oldies and most of the men Ive dated had very different taste in music. It never was an issue.
My music is basically any videogame instrumental I liked. Plus some Johnny cash songs.
The only guys who like the same type of music as me are pretentious, weird hipsters. I listen to grunge rock from the 90s, alt/experimental rock and lots of psychedelic indie.
I don't think it matters anymore. It's a pretty shallow thing to judge someone on, like yeah music may be important to you but you can't build a life with someone based on what they listen to. That's foolish as heck to even think.
You can introduce each other to new music instead, there's nearly always something good that someone can find in a genre they don't usually listen to. In a way it's nice too because your favorite songs can't be ruined by the dumbass you're seeing if the relationship ends.
Most of the men I've dated liked music that I didn't like or didn't enjoy sharing music as much as I would like. But it doesn't define the person. It's just who they are. :)
