Your post raises a problem. IIN has participants all over the world mostly in English speaking countries. If half our user base disappeared we would lose half the intelligent users, half the trolls, half the perverts, and half the retards. This is bad because the commentary of intelligent users is what I log in for. Retards are easy to ignore, and perverts provide only mediocre humor. In other words, IIN would become only half as good.

I said NO because I want IIN to be at its best.

Id snap more then just half for me it would be closer to 75 percent. Hell if I could I’d just eliminate all of humanity.

The ethically sound decision is obvious. The consequences of that happening is interesting thought experiment though.

As it happens, it's estimated that around half of the population of Europe died due to the Black Death in the 1300s. That had massive and long-lasting effects on society and the economy. Since labour was in such short supply, serfs were able to leave the land they were legally tied to and find alternative employers who paid them more, so it effectively ended the mediaeval system of serfdom and that led to the development of ideas about how all people should be free. It also had a major impact on religious thought, since the Catholic church had clearly been able to do nothing to stop what was perceived of as the wrathful judgement of God. It even had an effect on fashion: since wages went up due to labour shortages, the poor dressed better, and their "betters" had to wear increasingly elaborate clothing in order to distinguish themselves from their social inferiors.

It's impossible to say what effect a similar cull of humans would have today, but it's very likely all sorts of unexpected consequences would follow.

One thing is sure: the Earth as an ecosystem wouldn't miss having to deal with a drastically reduced human population.

I used to wish to do it because of climatic reasons but since spring 2019 I became christian and the Bible says "Love your neighbour/neighbor as yourself" !

If I could choose the people that I get to snap or "blip" (whatever they called it lol) away.. then yea I snap my fingers!! Start of with all the arsehole n wankers, then all the politicians, people who invoke/create war, maybe majority of the Chinese (? Overpopulation of the 🌍 bothers me, but I wouldn't do it. Since I can't choose who to eliminate,there would be some good people in there.

To get to that 4 billion mark I would choose: china (1.2 billion) half of India (0.6 billion) most of the middle east not including Israel (1 billion) North Korean dictatorship (all generals and leader plus relatives) waring parts of africa (.4 billion). South america half of every country(.4 billion) dictators of every nation that wasnt killed in the above. Russia .3 billion. And for the last 100 million it would be 25 million males in the usa (not including me or my direct contacts) and 75 million in the EU.

The problem is just getting up to the approximate half of the population. I dont want to wipe out russia or south America nor india but I need to keep the numbers up.

The reason for the 25 million males of america I would choose a specific age group of 17-26 to increase my chances with finding a wife (because I'm a bastard)
