Yes. I’ve been speaking for years pretty regularly as part of my job. I don’t get nervous about it at all, anymore.
Yes, I believe I could speak in front of 70,000 people. I think I would be nervous of course, but I'm pretty sure I could do it! I would tell myself that since I used to be a radio disc jockey that I've probably had as many as people listen to me without knowing it. To be honest though the microphone is my friend, but the podium, and the stage are scary to me. I miss radio so much, it's like a part of me died inside when I stopped pursuing it.
So do you have to make a speech in front of a stadium full of people? Practice your speech until it's pretty much memorized, and then also use index cards in case you forget your lines! I had to give a speech at this one Catholic church to a whole class of 50 or more teenagers who were studying for confirmation. Teenagers can be intimidating, I looked for kind faces, and I would scan the room at briefly to make eye contact with them. I was glad when it was over, but it was fun.
It'd be way easier than in front of a dozen or so. Once an audience reaches a certain point of critical mass, my performance anxiety skips town.
It would be exceptionally overwhelming.
I would have to be confident that my speech was well thought out, and that the subject matter could be interesting to such a broad audience.
If there was some reason why I really had to do it, I could suck it up. I would likely never put myself up to it, though.
No because I don't think they could hear me in the back. What am I hitler?
