I was born in Arctic Circle blyat you think I have afraid of cold water ? Ice berg should be afraid of me
If I was the one driving the ship... yes! Fastest way to make a ship turn, especially one with multiple propellers... Ahead flank on the outside engine, back emergency on the inside engine. And take the corner at speed.
PS: For those that saw the third propeller in the movie and wondered why it never turned when the ship tried reversing... the Titanic had 2 triple-expansion steam engines driving the main propellers and a steam turbine driving the third propeller in the middle. And the turbine on the Titanic was used when the ship was at speed and it couldn't be reversed, so in a crashback (going from forwards to emergency reverse) situation, it remains stationary.
The first thing i would do if i were on the titanic and it's sinking, i would jump off it and let myself freeze to death because i know i'd never survive.
Fuck giving up. I'll do everything in my power to survive. Ripping up insulation and taping it to myself. Making myself as buoyant possible.
Um are you implying that people that died on the titanic didn't do enough to survive? So it's their fault? Wtf is wrong with you?
Yeah that can be the explanation of every single life and death scenario. Didnt try hard enough. Sucks but that's life.
I'd try my damndest to survive but if I fail thats on me at the end of the day.
Thanks for telling me you're a psychopathic bigot without telling me you're a psychopathic bigot.
So it's even children's fault if they die? Wtf? And it wasn't their fault they died. Things happen. It does not mean they didn't try hard enough. To say it's their fault is downright disgusting, you subhuman.
Yeah it is their fault. Mostly their parents for not protecting them but that cant always be the explanation. Best you can do as a parent is make your kid a fighter and give them all the tools in their arsenal to help them out in real life.
Like swimming, you can teach toddlers how to swim to prevent drowning.
I'm just trying to expose Lloyd for being a sicko. You "get gud". And I have pronouns, bigot.
WTF? Like, what the actual fuck is wrong with you? This comment is straight up hate speech. You are by far the scummiest person on the internet, you fucking ableist bigot. No human decency. Get help asap.
Since it was women and children first, and considering that they didn't have sufficient life boats. Many men would not survive the sinking. Just like in the real event. Your sstatus didn't matter except to the few men who cheated
I'm too poor to afford bus fare let alone afford a ticket for the titanic so yes I will survive but to only die from tuberculosis.
In the beginning they couldnt get people to get on the lifeboats because they were telling everyone the californian would be there soon and there was no real threat. Knowing me I would never believe that shit id be jumping in those life boats.
I use to be very obsessed with the titanic. I read after thr titanic disaster they had most of the survivors testify before congress and one guy had lasted over 2 hours in the freezing water. All he did was put on q life jacket and he went in the bar and started chugging whiskey. He swam in circles for that 2 hours intil the boats returned and he survived. He said before congress he never really even felt cold he was so drunk.
I started researching this more out of curiousity and some scientists do believe that drinking enough alcohol can make it abit harder to get hypothermia.
Yeah I would live. Assuming I could fashion something that would keep me out of the water. While optimally I would end up in a lifeboat because I'm not "that" poor.
On the titanic that was literal. Though as a man I would be excluded naturally from the first groups that needed to be on life boats. So yeah I would grab as much warm clothing as possible and find something buoyant. The unfortunate thing is that you have to find the time to jump before the ship snapped in two as that was the problem with ships that were bolted together.
