    Lots of people are victims of the hypersexualisation of popular culture. Since they see virtually every relationship in terms of sex, they have problems accepting that it's possible for two men to feel emotionally very close without there being some sexual element in the relationship.

    If you feel such a relationship must be homoerotic, maybe there's some projection going on.
