Ok, so for you real gamers which have owned both console, which do you find the best? Personally i prefer Xbox.
I have left the options very specific so those who have only owned 1 of the consoles cannot vote as it would be bias.

I honestly think the "console wars" are pointless and stupid. I have all systems and every system has pros and cond but all in all are very balanced and it all comes down to what do you particularly want to play. I think all this could have stemmed from parents only getting one console so those people will defend it to hell. I mean you can't even really argue exclusives that well because alot of games are multi-platform and it's not like too many exclusives stand out. Half the time the oblivious fanboys would defend a bomb implanted in the system if it was labeled exclusive though. If anything the playstation's hardware holds up very well and is more reliable than xbox which if running don't touch or it blows up or something. Also online play is completely free. I enjoy the indie game market for xbox though and I've seen it downloads a bit faster.I'm actually looking forward to the OUYA and hope it really sticks the tongue at these companies who think they know games anymore.
I have both and I prefer PS3, purely because I don't have to pay to play games online :)
If Xbox got rid of Xbox live and made it free like the PS3, I'd choose the 360
I have not owned a PS3, only PS2, but damn, I'm in love with my Xbox 360!!!
I used to like PS back in the days that I had Crash Bandicoot....That was my favorite as a kid. I guess I prefer both 'cause there are some pretty damn fine games on the Xbox as well. I will say that I prefer the Xbox Controller over the Play Station ones.
There will forever be a place in my heart for old Nintendo consoles (I have NES and N64). But if I had to choosebetween the two it would be the ps3, only because I'd gotten used to the controller since playstation came out.
I don't have any gaming system at all but I think it's more about the games. If they make good game for PS3 which is not avilable for Xbox I'd say PS3 and same goes other way.

No but really, Each of the consoles are great for their own games/features. My PS3 plays blu-ray, my Xbox has Gears Of War, my Wii has Xenoblade, my DS and PSP have all sorts of awesome games.
Any kind of "preference" seems strange from a gamer point of view. Surely you should be embracing them all because they all have unique games to offer?
I own both, and both have their pros and cons, but I like Xbox more. I just like the feel of it more.
I think I am a bit biased, though. The majority of my time I play Halo, a game exclusive to Xbox.

When i switched over to PS3 i found this very supprising, as i enjoyed speaking to a group of friends at the same time on xbox. I have also noticed that Xbox has exclusives realeased earlier, for example Demo's and Game add ons are always realsed 1-2 weeks early on xbox.<BR><BR>But ps3 is still a great console, i think it is more efficient and reliable than the xbox, and the dashboard is much more proffesional that the slightly jouvinail xbox dashboard. And another great bonus to the ps3 is that you do not have to pay for online privelages, which is very nice.
Well I only own PS3 and I'm pretty biased... but I chose my system out of those 2 so I can say I chose PS3 because of Blu-Ray, not having to pay for online-gaming and because it feels overall better... And you get used to the controller
