You know an old fool from a creole land is making an old recipe of chilli

Do you realise these Creole foods, like that rice dish made of chilli (I think it's jambalaya), made of shrimps, ham and chicken stock? I think it's spicy jambalaya, or perhaps there's a Creole hot sauce which is 300,000 scoville units.
You know this old man from a place where he speaks Creole and sells you chilli brownies or a spicy gumbo? Even from Louisiana you get Creole chicken in a crispy coating that black people make, served with Bourbon Street barbeque sauce. There's even a clam stew with chili in it and it's hot, and these old fools pass you a recipe for your enjoyment, then suddenly your American wife doesn't want to eat it, even if it's an authentic seafood curry from the Caribbean from an old man who was dying and gave you the recipe, do you see how stupid people can be over these recipes? An old man wants you to keep up his tradition, you came all the way to a Creole country, and suddenly your wife doesn't eat it? Huh!

Perhaps she isn't into spicy food? Is she a picky eater? If so, it's very common for those types to not want to try anything that differs too much from what they're used to.

Sounds good, though! I haven't had Jambalaya in years, but remember enjoying it. I need to try making some!

I made a delicious Cajun pasta with garlic bread the other night. ๐Ÿ˜‹ It probably isn't authentic, as it is a recipe I got online and then modified a bit, but it was great nonetheless!

I thought you said your wife wouldn't eat it, I was asking about her. I like spicy food as well! Not over the top, but with a nice kick!

Your wife yes, I don't have a wife, but in watching 'The Cosby Show' Bill Cosby's wife wouldn't eat Mexican food. As for picky eaters I've known them to be my housemate and Tom next door, my housemate is a picky eater because he's weak enough not to have a lot of the foods the rest of us are having, 1. he won't eat creamy French chicken or French food from the jar, 2. he won't eat Italian pasta dishes, 3. he doesn't drink soup, and 4. he won't even eat much else other than tuna bake, pizza, fritz, Vegemite, eggs, bacon, foods like that, and 5. he won't even eat vegetables.

I've dealt with picky eaters as well. The worst are the onion haters! I like to cook almost everything in onion, as it makes the flavor so much better. Ground beef that hasn't been cooked in onion is absolutely disgusting in my opinion. ๐Ÿคฎ Way too bland, and it stinks. Perhaps that makes me picky! ๐Ÿคฃ

You mightn't be picky just for preference for an onion beef mince, but have you tried making very many foods w/o onion, such as corn "chowder" (if using just garlic and not onions) and shrimp cocktail served in a cocktail tomato sauce? I have a thing about certain foods, e.g. I would eat biscuits with chocolate cream or chocolate biscuits with white cream but not coconut biscuits unless they're coated in chocolate and I don't eat white biscuits with white cream in them or anything with a lot of butter or a lot of margarine or a lot of vegan margarine, and I don't eat caramel chocolate-coated biscuits or arrowroot biscuits, milk coffee biscuits or Nice biscuits, and I don't eat chocolate-coated chocolate cream biscuits, and I don't eat molluscs unless it's a fried bivalve mollusc, I don't eat Indian food except Indo-Kenyan curry & pilau, chicken curry puffs or potato samosas, I suppose that makes me a picky eater.

At first I thought you were just a tourist. But now I realize you donโ€™t speak English so you must actually be creole ๐Ÿ˜‚

So very wrong, I'm not a Creole, I speak English, I just heard of some Creole food. As it turns out people get me wrong every time, you know I'm Australian, why do you think I'm always talking about Australia?
