You're 35 what do you want ?

So you're around 35 years old and looking for a new relationship. Female or male what traits or requirements are you basic desires and do you have deal breakers. Examples: career job, good with finances, cleanliness, housekeeping, cooking, appearance, likes kids. Deal breakers: lives with parents, lives like a pig, no job, doesn't want to work, wants to be housewife/husband, education (lack of), kids, previous marriage. Some may be more acceptable from male/ female point of view, but chime in please. Anyway you get the picture what do you want them to bring to the table. My children told me Rich, Good looking, and nice. Pretty basic but hard to find.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Deal breaker #1: has an account on Is It Normal.

I'm three years away from being that age.

I want someone like me: has a full time job, can manage money well, pays their bills on time, likes food, and can take a strap on. XD

Deal breakers: Severe mental issues, no job, bad credit score, too much debt, has kids, depends on their parents for everything, does drugs, basically I don't want a useless lump for a partner.

  • Okay let's say you're 35, did the school thing, got a job career type, make a decent living. You meet a person long distance relationship, you seem to have a connection but they do not really want to work rather stay at home and be domestic engineer, you meet and they're cute but somewhat overweight, really nice person but really I see it as kind of baggage. Good part no kids we both have ex's. Will I eventually regret they bring little to the relationship except companionship.

It sounds kinda corny, but my main requirement is that she's positive and supportive.

As far as dealbreakers go, I don't think I could make it work with a woman who was bigoted, or a woman who didn't enjoy receiving oral sex.

    My dealbreakers are:

    1. Someone who wants kids/pets (it's ok if she has kids/pets already, so long as I never really interact with them. I'd be afraid I'd get attached to them and then if our relationship ever ended I'd be heartbroken over losing them as well as her)

    2. Someone who wants to get married

    3. Someone who isn't vegetarian and environmentalist

    4. Someone who smokes

Nope, a human being would make a very poor substitute for a proper feline companion! When I say my prayers at night I always ask God to make sure that I'm always able to have a feline companion, preferably a Siamese, in my life, but I never think in such a way about having a human, male, romantic companion... never. When people try really hard to act like cats it mostly just annoys me except for when it's Eartha Kitt, Julie Newmar, Halle Berry, or Michelle Pfeiffer.
