You've won a million dollars!

Sometimes when you go on a website, you see those ads which say: "YOU'VE WON A MILLION DOLLARS!! QUICKLY CLICK HERE OR WE'LL KILL KITTENS!!"
And I just came to wonder, do you actually think anybody would be dumb enough to click them?

Nobody can't be that stupid. 131
Might aswel click. What if you have won a million dollars? 32
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Nope, I actually did get mailed $50 for clicking on one of those awhile back. It didn't say "Youve won a million dollars" but it did say something like "Youve won a prize,Click here to claim your prize" or something like that. All I had to do was give my opinion on some merchandise that was coming out soon, kind of like a mini survey and about 3 weeks later they sent out the $50.

I always believed people were not that dumb. Then I'd just lost my job and a friend of mine showed me this stuff he'd printed off the net for "work at home and make 5k a week." At first I thought he was joking, but he wasn't. This poor guy had clicked on it and then printed that shit off for me to read. I told him it was a huge scam and showed him how easy it is to just copy and paste logos like CNN and NBC onto a dummy website. His mouth just dropped open. Then I googled "work at home scams" and duh, of course it was a scam. What it did show me that was really eye-opening was just how dumb the guy was. I'd really always thought he was alot smarter than that. Wow. I don't see him anymore.

It's funny to run into this question. My Grandma just asked me if she should click one of those things that popped up on her laptop. She's 70.

People in the old times were smarter than people in this time. Cause nowadays people just care about texting. (which is pretty dumb) People in the old times made music with MATH. Now... they make gayass music. (such as rap)

The first time I got the "you are today's lucky winner" I kind of wondered if it were legit. After winning the same damn thing for being "Today's Ohio Winner" for a whole week, I knew it was 10000% fake. I'm not even from Ohio dammit!

Right, so people are actually dumb enough to give all their private details (adress, phone number, etc) to some company and think it will then give them a million pounds. Fat chance.

  • Ehmm... I just noticed I've written "Nobody can't be that stupid", which means everybody is so stupid they click >.>
What I meant was: "Nobody can be that stupid", meaning nobody click. Hope my little mistake hasn't messed up too much

when i first saw one of those, i clicked. Then i realised that it was fake since i didn't even participate. Later i got the:Your ip has been selected out of 100.000.000 ips. The same stuff really. Both fake.
