I'd go with my laptop computer, just b/c it gives so much to learn. Nostalgic wise would be my Super Nintendo, which I have played for the past eighteen-ish years.

There's a radio telescope which looks deep into space and takes requests via the internet at which portion of the sky to look at (you just feed in co-ordinates). Your request gets added to the queue (usually surprisingly small) and you get an image back of the very thing you wanted to look at.
This is my favourite bit of tech, but - like so many other things - it couldn't work well without computers or the internet, so my answer is computers and the internet, but only because of the satellite (pun) benefits.
I've been thinking about getting a powerful 12 inch viberator and sticking it up my wifes ass on full and glueing it there.
Let me say the one I least care about. That would probably be my phone but I still would be utterly devastated if I lost it.
My iPod is a true hero when it comes to work and study. Also it is my second entertainment tool. It is my game center, my gameboy advance emulator, my library, it has my music, my web browser, and finally, it is my agenda. I don't need a computer with my iPod around but it is uncomfortable to write on it.
LOL i think everyone who needs stupid gadgetry all the time should be put in wilderness with no civization for a month and see if they survive.
