Which is more awful? mlp or twilight?

I don't understand what's so great about my little pony. This is coming from someone who has a tendency to watch children's shows on their free time. Yo gabba gabba, Between the lions, and Caillou, Arthur, Higgly town heroes, dragon tales, roli poli oli, and telletubbies are legendary imo. Nothing great about MLP.

It's fan base is terrifying, almost cult-like. I'd rather not get sucked into that evil.

Isn't jumping on the "I hate <insert thing here>! RAH!" bandwagon just as retarded as the "OMG I looooooove <insert thing here>"?

I haven't seen My Little Pony. I don't care for it but that whole thing with one of the ponies enjoy "getting wet" and those godawful sexual fan fictions are horrendous. I've also been unlucky enough to witness a MLP doll/puppet with a big spacious whole in its ass. It's purpose being for sex. O_0

Despite this, I'm going to have to go with Twilight (Toilet Light) as the worse. Twilight is not true literature. It's a piece of worthless shit that should be set on fire and every single copy should be thrown into a anti-matter device which would make it cease to exist. I had thought of jettisoning it to the far reaches of outer space but the rest of the universe doesn't deserve to be cursed with such a fate. It defies all logic and it stands as a monolith of disrespect to writers who are actually talented. The majority of the fans (What are they called,'Twihards?") are crazed psychos blinded by the "love" they have for this pathetic excuse. Edward is god knows how old but yet he's still in high school. I'm guessing that his only reason for going incognito is because he is a pervert that enjoys praying on stupid teenage girls. I remember hearing en passant that there was a character that was a child and this child vampire ended up having sex with a much older man!!!! Modern vampires no longer are allergic to the sun. Real vampires don't sparkle they are violent sex fiends that have harems and live in splendid European castles of gothic design. In other words, old school is kick-ass. I think one of the greatest offenses this shitty series has imposed is the ruinment of the word "Twilight".

My Little Pony is an American cartoon aimed at kids (with a subculture of adult fans) that is better than some children's television and worse than others. It's not great, it's not awful. It just is.

Twilight is a supernatural romance story / movie franchise aimed at young teen girls. It does a pretty good job at appealing to its target demographic, hence its success. Again, it's not great, it's not awful. It just is.

There are many films and television programs that spring to mind when I think of truly awful programming. These two don't pop into my mind. There is some utterly lame shit churned out by television and film companies that I would consciously turn over to Twilight / MLP just to avoid watching.

personally, i like mlp:fim, i think its funny and i like the characters. but its not for everyone. if you dont like it, thats fine. As for twilight, i havent seen it so i cant say.

MLP is an okay kids show, but the cesspit of emotionally stunted adult men it has gathered is truly a travesty to the human race.

I've never watched my little pony so I say Twilight is better. A lot of the people who say twilight is worse have not read all the books either (the movies where absolute shit). Twilight was what got me into reading, I read them for the first time in grade 8 and I literally could not read before that, in grade 7 a machine was reading books to me because with my ADHD I couldn't focus for long periods of times, but Twilight got me into reading and now I love reading, I will never bash Twilight becuase it opened my eyes to many other books. But I must say now that I have read books other than Twilight I know it isn't an amazing book. But it's a great starter book to boost your confidence in reading because it's a nice big book but doesn't have any real big words and is very easy to read.
My little pony, well I don't know, never watched it and don't really understand the whole 'brony' thing.

I dislike twilight more as It affects more things. I don't know any bronies or ordinary mlp fans but people I know wont shut up about twilight plus I like films like let the right one in and hell even stake land was an interesting take on the vampire genre now it seems to be glamourising what were once from dark gothic horror stories and films

Meh, If you hate both then fine. I'm personally a Brony, but i'm not proud of what a lot of the fandom does; I told a flamboyant brony to stop flaunting and he called me a hater outright. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer. And as for the clop material.... What people find attractive is their own business. But sometimes guys...Really? The things I have seen... But then again, just about all fandoms have their sick little love-section people tend to skirt around.

As for the Twilight series, I considered reading them, but a girl in my school completely fangirled to the point where i decided not to read them; it was silly. Again, to each his own, but the extremities of any fandom will drive anyone up the wall.

MLP is actually a watchable - or dare I say - good show if you ignore the bizarre subculture of neo-furries that comes along with it. Also they just don't make kids shows like they used to anymore, so this one stands a bit ahead of the crowd.

Twilight, well, there's just nothing redeeming about that movie. It's just mindless crap. Or maybe if you're a 12-year-old girl with an active imagination it's kind of like softcore porn, but not being 12 or a girl I can't really speak to that.

Haha I know a 45 year old man who watches my little pony. I work in a video store and he hires it out. He says he is part of the "bronies" which is the collection of male fans of the show. I don't like to judge anyone on their taste but I did find it hard not to raise an eyebrow.

Tween shit is always horrendous. But it is such a lucrative market its always going to be commercial crap with little to no artistic merit.

Both of them are offensive and stupid, so I'd say it's 50/50.

If you're talking about fanbase then MLP is the worst because I honestly don't see that many 'twitards' or whatever you want to call them, as 'bronies' shoving it into everything.
As for the actual content MLP is not that bad of a cartoon, just horribly overrated. Twilight was just plain horrible though, imo

I don't think they come even close to comparing if you're going to analyze subject matter. One is a cutesy show intended for children that teaches lessons about life and friendship.

One is a horrible movie franchise utilizing mary sue characters, glorifying abusive relationships and teaching teenage girls that it's okay to be completely irrational over a guy and that if you can't find love, you might as well go around wrecking motorbikes and jumping off cliffs. Seriously, Edward is a stalker, Jacob is a rapist, and Bella is the WORST written character I've ever seen in my life.

Also so what if a thing is popular? Is it really *that* painful to you to have to hear about something you don't like? Because if it's that big a deal to you you're in for a difficult life, shit we don't like is EVERYWHERE. Know what you do? Ignore it and move on rather than bitching about whatever's "cool" to make yourself sound intelligent and edgy.
